Jason Castro exploded on Phoenix to tow TNT KaTropa to the PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals Saturday night.

Castro fired 42 points and propelled the Texters’ high-scoring exchange with the Fuel Masters that ended in TNT’s favor, 136-124.

The Texters, who will be appearing in the final four for the first time since their 2015 Commissioner’s Cup title win, will battle sister team Meralco Bolts in a best-of-five duel in the semis.

Castro was virtually unstoppable against the Fuel masters, knocking down five triples, nine two-pointers and nine free throw shots in just 27 minutes.

Castro also got plenty of help from team mates Ryan Reyes, Ranidel de Ocampo, Michael Madanly, Larry Fonacier and Kelly Williams.

“We’re enjoying this win in just a few minutes then we prepare for the next game,” said TNT coach Jong Uichico in the PBA website.

“We just moved to the next round. That’s what happened tonight.”

Uichico said Castro continues to improve in each game. Despite the numbers the “Blur” has churned in, Uichico said Castro doesn’t really concern himself with his personal stats.

“Jason’s getting to be an all-around player… Basta manalo ang team, masaya siya,” said the coach. “Focus s’ya to win this game and go on to the next round.”

The win completed the semifinal picture with TNT joining Meralco, San Miguel Beer and Barangay Ginebra in the final four.
