PBA: TNT sends de Ocampo to Meralco in 3-team trade

MANILA, Philippines – The TNT KaTropa parted ways in stalwart forward Ranidel de Ocampo on Monday, sending him to the Meralco Bolts in a trade that also involved the Phoenix Fuel Masters.

TNT first traded De Ocampo to Phoenix, receiving Norbert Torres and a 2017 first-round draft pick in exchange for the nine-time PBA All-Star.

Phoenix then sent De Ocampo to the Meralco Bolts. In exchange, the Fuel Masters received Justin Chua and the Bolts' 2017 first-round draft pick.

Phoenix completed the transaction by trading Chua to TNT in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft.

De Ocampo has played for TNT since 2008, winning six championships with the squad. He is averaging 9.13 points and 4.38 rebounds per game for TNT in the PBA Governors' Cup.
