MANILA -- Local ballers voiced their support for NLEXโs Mac Cardona who was rushed to the hospital Sunday after apparently attempting to commit suicide.

The 34-year-old former De La Salle University star was reportedly beset with personal problems before he overdosed on pills.

He was eventually transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the University of Perpetual Help Hospital in Las Piรฑas after his vital signs started to stabilize.

Upon learning about their colleagueโs emotional plight, fellow PBA players took to Twitter to offer prayers for Cardonaโs well-being.
