MANILA -- Local ballers voiced their support for NLEX’s Mac Cardona who was rushed to the hospital Sunday after apparently attempting to commit suicide.

The 34-year-old former De La Salle University star was reportedly beset with personal problems before he overdosed on pills.

He was eventually transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the University of Perpetual Help Hospital in Las Piñas after his vital signs started to stabilize.

Upon learning about their colleague’s emotional plight, fellow PBA players took to Twitter to offer prayers for Cardona’s well-being.

Among those who voiced their support were Calvin Abueva, Ryan Arana, Vince Hizon and Danny Seigle.
