MANILA, Philippines -- De La Salle University middle spiker Majoy Baron is the Most Valuable Player of the UAAP Season 79 women's volleyball tournament.

Baron, in her fourth season with the Lady Spikers, anchored the defending champions' net defense while also becoming one of the most efficient attackers and servers in the league.

She scored a total of 147 points on 89 attacks, 34 kill blocks, and 24 aces for a La Salle team that went 11-3 in the elimination round and is now up 1-0 in the Finals over the Ateneo Lady Eagles.
