MANILA - Married couple Japoy Lizarado and Janice Lagman, arguably the most popular taekwondo athletes in the Philippines, welcomed their first child.

On Saturday, Lizardo shared on Instagram a photo of their son whom they named baby Jace.

“Thank you so much Lord for the life of Baby Jace! Thank you everyone for all your prayers!! Good job also mommy Janice, I love you both,” he wrote in the caption.

The couple also created an Instagram page solely dedicated to baby Jace.

Lizardo, who is popular among '90s kids for starring in a chocolate malt beverage commercial, tied the knot with Lagman back in May.

Aside from their respective coaching jobs, the couple also runs a taekwondo school.
