PBA: JP Erram dominates June Mar, as Blackwater stuns San Miguel

JP Erram had a monster double-double game, as Blackwater stunned San Miguel Beer 106-96 in the PBA Philippine Cup at Cuneta Astrodome on Friday.

Erram finished with 24 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks, besides making big baskets down the stretch, on his way to outdueling 4-time league MVP June Mar Fajardo.

The win snapped Blackwater's 4-game losing streak and upped its record to 3-5, while San Miguel fell to 6-2, tying Magnolia and Alaska atop the standings.

Ahead 82-80 with 8 minutes remaining in the game, Blackwater held San Miguel to without a field goal for 3 and a half minutes to go up 92-83.

Mike Digregorio put the finishing touches on Blackwater's win with a personal 8-0 run, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Digregorio registered a game-high 26 points, 11 of which came in the fourth quarter. He also tallied 5 3-pointers and 5 assists for Blackwater, which missed the services of Mac Belo because of an injury.

Overall, Blackwater made 13 of 26 (50%) from behind the arc.

Arwind Santos scored 22 points and made 5 3-pointers to lead San Miguel.

Fajardo scored 12 points on 3-of-11 shooting from the field to go with 13 rebounds.
