Guiao has already denied the allegation, and Ross has said that he does not want to discuss the issue anymore.

Nevertheless, both parties still merited fines for the roles they played in the incident that occurred with just 1:46 left to play. Guiao was fined P11,000 "for obscene gesture, use of profane language, and engaging in a verbal altercation." Ross was fined P2,600 for incurring two technical fouls.

The PBA also assured that it does not tolerate any racially derogatory acts, and will not hesitate to impose sanctions if there is evidence that a racist remark was uttered.
