MANILA, Philippines – Frankie Lim's coaching debut for the University of Perpetual Help Altas did not go as planned.

Che'Lu Bar and Grill-San Sebastian College overpowered the Altas, 83-70, in their PBA D-League Aspirants Cup showdown at the Pasig City Sports Center on Monday morning.

It was a disappointing result for the Altas, who were playing for the first time under the tutelage of multi-titled head coach Frankie Lim.

Michael Calisaan led the way for Che'Lu-San Sebastian, which is making its D-League debut. He fired a game-high 20 points while adding nine rebounds, two assists and two steals to help his team get off to a good start in the conference.

The Revellers turned the game around in the second half, as they outscored the Altas, 49-32, in the final two periods to overhaul a slim 38-34 halftime deficit.

"Nanalo kami because of skills of the players, and their talent," said Che'Lu-San Sebastian coach Stevenson Tiu. "Nahirapan pa ako mag-adjust sa mga players… naninibago pa ako."

"Hopefully, we play much better in the coming games," he added.

Four other players scored in double figures for Che'Lu-San Sebastian, with Samboy de Leon adding 16 points and RK Ilagan firing 13 markers on top of eight assists. The Revellers pounced on the Altas' inability to defend without fouling, as they made 21 of 28 free throw attempts.

A 16-4 run in the final frame helped the Revellers break the game open, as they seized a 77-60 lead with just four minutes to go. The Che'Lu-San Sebastian players punished the Altas for their turnovers, and turned Perpetual's 30 turnovers into 28 points.

Prince Eze led the Altas with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and seven blocked shots.
