LOS ANGELES -- In celebration of Filipino American History Month, Los Angeles City Hall lit up in Philippine colors for the first time ever.

Filipino American City officials Jessica Caloza and Susana Reyes along with Deputy Mayor Miguel Sangalang hosted City Hall’s Filipino American History Month reception and lighting ceremony.

Emmy-winning NBC meteorologist Shanna Mendiola, blogger Asia Jackson, and Jollibee himself attended the ceremony which featured cultural performances, a jeepney and some Pinoy eats.

This is the first time in LA’s history that City Hall lit up in red, white blue, and yellow.
