MANILA - Philippine passport holders can now visit 66 travel destinations visa-free, making the Philippine passport the world's 70th "most powerful" in the world out of 105 destinations, according to the 2018 Henley Passport Index.

Last year, Filipinos had visa-free access to 61 travel destinations and ranked 75th out of 104 destinations.

Japan maintained its top rank with visa-free access to 189 travel destinations in 2018.

Germany and Singapore, meanwhile, placed second. German and Singapore passport holders could visit 188 travel destinations visa-free in 2018.

The Afghanistan and Iraq passports, meanwhile, were deemed the "weakest" with visa-free access only to 30 travel destinations.

The Henley Passport Index ranks passports worldwide based on data from the International Air Transport Association.

The 66 destinations where Philippine passport holders have visa-free access (including visa on arrival or electronic travel authority), according to Henley Passport Index, are the following:
