Surigao del Norte officials declared a state of calamity after a magnitude-6.7 earthquake hit the province on Friday evening, severely damaging buildings, roads, and the normal day-to-day lives of thousands of residents.
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported 6 people dead and at least 100 injured.
