Friends and relatives of the late actor and one-time presidential bet Fernando Poe Jr. on Wednesday commemorated the 12th death anniversary of the "King of Philippine Movies" at the Manila North Cemetery.

Poe's widow Susan Roces and daughter Senator Grace Poe led the program, which included messages from them and a medley of the late actor's favorite movie theme songs performed by actor John Arcilla.

Senator Poe's husband Neil and children Brian, Hanna and Nika and other relatives were also present.

The lawmaker thanked her father's supporters but said that her family has no plans of transferring the remains of Poe to the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

FPJ, or Ronald Allan Kelley Poe in real life, was born on August 20, 1939. He ran for president in 2004 but lost in an election marred by allegations of widespread cheating. He died on December 11, 2004 due to thrombosis with multiple organ failure at age 64.
