Friends and relatives of the late actor and one-time presidential bet Fernando Poe Jr. on Wednesday commemorated the 12th death anniversary of the "King of Philippine Movies" at the Manila North Cemetery.

FPJ, or Ronald Allan Kelley Poe in real life, was born on August 20, 1939. He ran for president in 2004 but lost in an election marred by allegations of widespread cheating. He died on December 11, 2004 due to thrombosis with multiple organ failure at age 64.
