P5-M worth of illegal drugs seized in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY - Some P5 million worth of illegal drugs were seized in a hotel parking lot along Santa Maria Road in Zamboanga City on Sunday.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) officers arrested five suspects identified as Ryan Rajan Quijano, Sahari Addalani Sabturani, Gasi Hadjirul Waliyul, Kizzle Rajan Tungupon, and Albajir Sanny.
PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio said Sabturani is a member of the "Kubal Drug Group."
Recovered from the suspects' possession were 20 sachets of 50 grams white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated value of P5 million, and buy-bust money amounting to P1.5 million.

The suspects will face appropriate charges in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
