Senator Leila de Lima on Monday shouted at Philippine National Police Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa during the senate inquiry on extrajudicial killings.

De Lima was pressing Dela Rosa for answers on why he did not immediately reveal that his “kumpadre” who ordered the reinstatement of Police Superintendent Marvin Marcos as head of CIDG-8, was President Rodrigo Duterte.

Dela Rosa told De Lima: “Kung maipit, sasabihin ko. Magpalit tayo ng position your honor, ikaw maging chief PNP kung kaya mo.”

The response angered De Lima who shouted: “Please do not argue with me. I am the one asking here. Do not argue with me! I’ve had enough of you! Kayong lahat na mga nagsisinungaling.”

The PNP chief admitted during the same hearing that Marcos was reinstated on the same day that the latter was relieved.

De Lima was also angered by former whistleblower Sandra Cam who was seen standing during the hearing

“May I ask that lady to sit down. She is not part of this. She’s not a resource person. Please ask her to sit down. That’s out of order!” De Lima said, eliciting laughter from the crowd.
