Senator Leila de Lima on Wednesday branded as lies the accusations of suspected drug lord Kerwin Espinosa that she received drug money from him, saying she hopes God would forgive him for what he is saying.

In his testimony before the Senate inquiry, Espinosa said he gave De Lima drug money through her former driver Ronnie Dayan. After this, Senator Panfilo Lacson said De Lima should be allowed to ask Espinosa questions regarding his affidavit.
