DIGOS CITY – A frustrated murder complaint was filed here on Friday against Edgar Matobato, a self-confessed hitman who linked President Rodrigo Duterte to vigilante killings.

Matobato's accuser is lawyer Abeto Salcedo, who accused the hitman of trying to kill him in 2014. Salcedo filed the complaint before the Digos City Prosecutor's Office.

Salcedo, a retired agrarian reform adjudicator, said he saw Matobato and several others attack him on the Digos City-Davao del Sur National Highway.
