MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte has declared August 21 a regular holiday in observance of the Muslim feast of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea signed Proclamation No. 556 declaring August 21, Tuesday, a regular holiday, citing the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.

August 21 also marks Ninoy Aquino Day, also a holiday.

Eid'l Adha is one of Islam's two major feasts along with Eid'l Fitr.
