Tinio vehemently denied the allegations and said he is even willing to be cross-examined by President Rodrigo Duterte, who publicly named him as a protector of drug syndicates.

To further prove his dedication in the fight against drugs, Tinio also submitted documents showing that he and his personnel were able to arrest more than 1,600 personalities involved in the drug trade.

Napolcom Vice Chairman Rogelio Casurao said Tinio's counter-affidavit will be weighed thoroughly by the investigating panel. The accused police officers' Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN), Income Tax Returns (ITR), and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) records will also be scrutinized.
Napolcom Vice Chairman Rogelio Casurao said Tinio's counter-affidavit will be weighed thoroughly by the investigating panel. The accused police officers' Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN), Income Tax Returns (ITR), and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) records will also be scrutinized.
"We're still under the process of computing figures in the ITR and what has been declared in their SALN,'' Casurao said.
