NAGA CITY - Vice President Leni Robredo refused to engage Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., after the country's top diplomat called her "boba" or moron in a controversial tweet.

Robredo said she does not like getting involved in rude exchanges or conversations.

"Sakin, di naman ako nababawasan nun. Alam ng tao kung ano yung tama at yung mali, kaya hindi ko na 'yun papatulan," said Robredo.

Robredo said she does not harbor any ill-feelings towards Locsin.

"Sakin naman wala naman 'yun. Sakin hindi 'yun personal. Yung tao yung manghuhusga. Yung sakin lang sana kung ano yung obligasiyon, gawin. Kung ano yung responsibilidad, gawin. Kung ano yung nasa batas sundin," Robredo said.

She reportedly learned of Locsin's insult after she received calls and messages about the said tweet from friends and acquaintances.

Locsin criticized Robredo on Monday after the Vice President questioned the legality of cancellation of diplomatic passports of former diplomats and high officials by the Duterte administration.

The DFA secretary, however, apologized to Robredo half an hour after his controversial tweet.
