Former National Police chief Ronald dela Rosa on Monday reiterated his vow to rid New Bilibid Prisons of narcotics, saying he will not tolerate illegal drug syndicates in the state penitentiary.

"Ako ang siga dito, hindi kayo," dela Rosa told some 60 inmates in Building 14.

Dela Rosa attended his first flag raising ceremony as the chief of the Bureau of Corrections here at New Bilibid Prisons in Muntinlupa City. In his speech, Dela Rosa told the over 2,400 BuCor personnel that they should leave their jobs if they will not clean up Bilibid.

Umalis kayo kung ganon ugali n'yo," he added.

He stressed that he will take back the NBP from the control of convicted drug lords.

Dela Rosa is set to lead a command conference with key Bucor officials.

Last year, President Rodrigo Duterte said Dela Rosa will be appointed to the Bureau of Corrections after his mandatory retirement at the PNP, after reports that illegal drugs continued to proliferate at national penitentiary.
