Gadon, the lawyer behind the impeachment complaint against Sereno, claimed that he was heckled first, prompting him to hurl out expletives and flip a middle finger.

The incident was caught on video and also caught the ire of Integrated Bar of the Philippines president Abdiel Fajardo, who said Gadon may be cited in an ethics complaint because of what he did.

Gadon said he would rather lose his license than being helplessly insulted. He claimed the protesters were also insulting the high court and President Rodrigo Duterte.

"I was thinking of filing a petition in the Supreme Court to disbar me. If this bar thing is the only thing that will constrain me from getting back at them, then I'd rather lose my license," he said.

Gadon has faced 2 separate disbarment cases: one in 2016 for making remarks seen as "hateful" to Muslims; and another this year for his allegedly baseless accusations against Sereno.
