But net satisfaction rating down by 17 points in Class E

MANILA- President Rodrigo Duterte kept a "very good" net satisfaction rating despite a 2-point drop in the first quarter of 2018, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released Wednesday.

Seventy percent of adult Filipinos are satisfied with Duterte's performance, lower by one point from his December 2017 gross satisfaction rating of 71 percent, the survey revealed.

This is equivalent to a +56 net satisfaction rating, slightly lower than Duterte's +58 December rating.

Fourteen percent of Filipinos, meanwhile, said they are dissatisfied, higher by just a point from the last survey result, and 17 percent said they are undecided.

The President's satisfaction rating in Mindanao rose by 2 points at +82 from +80, equivalent to "excellent." He maintained a "good" to "very good" rating in Metro Manila (+54), Balance Luzon (+39), and Visayas (+65).

Among social classes, Duterte's net satisfaction rating among Classes A, B, and C also remained "very good" at +63 despite a 3-point decrease from December's +66.

It also stayed unchanged at "very good" in class D or the masa.

Duterte's satifaction rating among those in class E, however, fell from "very good" to "good" with a 17-point decrease from December's +65. It was +48 in March 2018.

The first quarter poll, conducted from March 23-27, was done using face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults nationwide. It has a margin of error of plus/minus 3%.
