President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday said the Left has been using members of the Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (Kadamay) to launch "anarchical activities" against the government.

Last month, at least 2,000 Kadamay members illegally occupied idle government housing units in Bulacan originally intended for families of soldiers and policemen.

Duterte, on Tuesday, told Kadamay members that they can have the homes they illegally acquired.

"Those are the guys na ginagamit ng left. They are into such anarchical activities," Duterte said during his visit to a military camp in Palawan.

"Nagpapasensya lang ako kasi mahihirap din yan," Duterte added.

The president did not elaborate on how the Left allegedly pulls its strings to cause disorder, but assured the public that better homes will be built for the displaced beneficiaries among soldiers and police.

"I commit to you now na may dadating na mas bago, mas maganda, may tubig, may kuryente... Hayaan mo yung mga g***, mga mang-aagaw na kandila lang yung kanila," Duterte told soldiers.

"Next time that I will build houses for the military and police, pabantayan ko na ng limang M16, pati bazooka. Unang entrada pa lang, bitawan mo na," he added.

Kadamay members have thanked Duterte for handing over the houses, but said that they won't stop storming other government housing projects.

Duterte made the accusation against the Left a day after the government peace panel and the Reds agreed on an interim joint ceasefire that will be ironed out during the peace talks.
