MANILA -- Twenty-nine soldiers were wounded in a clash with members of terror group Abu Sayyaf in Jolo, Sulu Sunday.

The encounter happened at around 9:30 a.m. and ended at around 10:45 a.m.

As of posting time, the number of injured members of the Abu Sayyaf has yet to be identified. Members of the bandit group that were encountered by soldiers were allegedly led by a certain Hatib Hajan Sawajaan.
