MANILA - Nine Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) cadets will face criminal and administrative charges for allegedly mauling 6 of their seniors right after their graduation rites last week.

The PNPA identified the suspects as Cadet 2nd Class Donald Ramirez Kissing, Jem Camcam Peralta, Clint John Baguidodol, Paul Christopher Macalalad, and Loreto Aquino Tulao, Jr.

The other suspects only identified with their surnames are Cadet 2nd Class Delos Santos, Calamba, Coplat, and Amanon.

PNPA Director Chief Supt. Joseph Adnol said witnesses identified the cadets who allegedly inflicted injuries on their seniors. Criminal cases will be filed against them at the Silang police station, he said.

Adnol said more or less 20 more cadets will face administrative charges for their alleged involvement in the mauling incident.

The PNPA also identified the 6 graduates allegedly mauled by their underclassmen after their graduation rites. They reportedly sustained head injuries.

Adnol said the cadets involved harbored ill-feelings towards their upperclassmen for imposing strict rules on them. The National Police Commission said these cadets will be dismissed if proven guilty.
