MANILA- Retired SPO3 Arthur Lascañas claimed in a Senate hearing on Monday that President Rodrigo Duterte shouldered fees for his kidney transplant.
Lascañas, who has linked Duterte to the alleged Davao Death Squad, said the former Davao City mayor gave him P200,000 through retired police officer Sonny Buenaventura.
"Pinadalhan ako ni mayor ng P200,000 through Sonny Buenaventura," Lascañas said.

He added that he received an additional P100,000 from Duterte's aide Bong Go, 6 days after he was released from the hospital.
Lascañas said his kidney transplant happened on Oct. 2, 2015 and that he thanked the President for the financial assistance.
He also revealed that he receives a monthly allowance of P100,000 from Duterte, the last of which was in January.
