Traffic officials record 176 violations within two hours of reviving the No Contact Apprehension policy.

Many of the offenses were committed by bus drivers who were loading and unloading passengers in forbidden areas.

Some private vehicle owners were also caught parking in no parking zones.

At the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) base, 15 personnel are monitoring major thoroughfares like EDSA, C-5, Roxas Boulevard, and Commonwealth Avenue using 50 CCTV cameras.

Traffic violators will be informed through mail and drivers can pay their fines at any Metrobank branch.

They can also contest their violations within seven days with the traffic adjudication division.

The MMDA hopes the re-implementation of the no contact policy will instill discipline among motorists.

If it is successful, it will be expanded to include other areas in Metro Manila.
