This exclusive drone video captured by ABS-CBN News cameraman Val Cuenca shows another project being done on the P7.8-million flag pole in front of the Jose Rizal monument in Luneta, Manila.

Just three years after millions of pesos were spent on renovating the flag pole, its marble base has been demolished for another Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) project costing more than P1.3 million.

The South Manila District Engineering Office said the latest project involves installation of new tiles.

Engineer Mikunug Macud claimed that the flag pole's original marble foundation had to be demolished because new lights will be installed at its base.
