MANILA – “Love life is later. Now is the crown.”

This was the advice given by Miss Universe Organization president Paula Shugart to Pia Wurtzbach, who recently confirmed that she is indeed dating “Sexiest Doctor Alive” Mikhail Varshavski.

Speaking at the sidelines of the Binibining Pilipinas 2016 coronation night on Sunday, Shugart said Wurtzbach still has a lot of things to accomplish as the reigning Miss Universe.

Wurtzbach has only been Miss Universe for about four months.

“Pia’s number one love is the Philippines and the crown. She’s very very busy. We keep her busy. There’s plenty of time for that. We keep her on the road all the time. I want to thank you. We are so proud to have Pia representing us,” she said.

“Everyone talks about Pia but I always tell everyone, remember all of the women that came before because all of you brought Pia to where she is now. Love life is later. Now is the crown,” she added.

Meanwhile, Wurtzbach’s mother Cheryl Alonzo Tyndall also gave this simple advice for her beauty queen daughter regarding her love life.

“I heard that somebody is courting her, that’s all. Further than that, I don’t know,” she said. “My advice is just be like me, be consistent with the relationship.”

On Sunday, Wurtzbach crowned Maxine Medina as the new Miss Universe Philippines winner.

Hours ahead of the pageant, Varshavski took to Twitter to tell Wurtzbach a sweet message.

"Even though tonight you're giving up the crown, you'll forever be my Miss Philippines!" he wrote on Twitter, adding the hashtag #comebacksoon.
