DZMM reporter Jun Lingcoran passes away

MANILA - (UPDATED) Veteran radio reporter Jun Lingcoran of DZMM passed away on Friday. He was 46.

According to Dr. Luisa Ticzon, one of DZMM's anchors, Lingcoran had difficulty swallowing last March 2015, and they discovered that he had esophageal cancer.

He went through chemotherapy, radiation and excision of his cancer from March to June of 2015.

Since then, Lingcoran had been in and out of the hospital.

Lingcoran, also known as Radyo Patrol 24, served as a reporter of ABS-CBN for 20 years, and was head of DZMM reporters for three years.

He covered the Senate beat for several years.

He was an anchor of "Radyo Patrol Balita Linggo."

His remains will be available for public viewing at Loyola Memorial Chapels in Guadalupe, Makati City on Saturday and Sunday. His remains will be transferred to Lucena City on Monday.

There is no date of interment yet.
