MANILA – More than a year since he sang the Psalms at Pope Francis’ Mass at Manila Cathedral last year, Kenneth Rey Parsad now has his first studio album “Still” under Universal Records.

According to Boy Abunda in an article on the Philippine Star, Parsad’s album contains inspirational songs including his cover of “Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos,” “Far Greater Love,” “My Soul Finds Rest,” “Ang Ganda,” “I Will Be Here For You” and “God Gave Me You.”

During the interview, the 23-year-old also admitted that coming up with his own studio album never really crossed his mind.

“During the Papal Mass at the Cathedral, I just desired to deliver the message of the Psalm. But it generated many things such as this,” he said.

Nonetheless, Parsad said he feels happy and blessed for all the opportunities that have opened up for him since he participated in the Papal Mass.

In a separate interview with ABS-CBN News last January, Parsad said his album was supposed to have been out in the market December 2015 but they ran out of time.

An Abra native, Parsad became one of the most talked-about persons in social media during the papal visit news coverage due to his angelic voice and good looks.

A year since, Parsad can only exclaim: "The year 2015 has been a great year for me and what a better way to start it than with Pope Francis' visit."

Currently, Parsad divides time between teaching Salvation History and Christian Ethics at his alma mater and occasional basketball games.
