MANILA -- After all the feasting during the holiday season, comedian Bearwin Meily, who has made headlines for his successful weight loss, shared simple tips on how to kick-start a healthy lifestyle.

In a post on Facebook, Meily urged his followers to get plenty of sleep. Meily shared that he sleeps an hour or two hours earlier than usual since he wants to enough rest before training.

Then he wakes up an hour or two hours earlier than normal to work out. For his morning exercise, Meily likes to walk or slow-jog for 30 to 45 minutes.

"Dito papasok ang disiplina at determinasyon sa gusto nating marating para sa kalusugan at katawan natin," he said.

When it comes to his diet, the "Home Sweetie Home" cast member said he reduces his intake of fatty and salty foods and eats more fruits and vegetables.

"What you eat, dapat balance. 'Wag masiba," he wrote.

Meily also stressed that one should be patient, noting that there is "no short cut or quick fix" in losing weight.

"Slowly but surely ako at ang importante sa lahat, dapat masaya tayo sa ginagawa natin. Dapat matutunan natin siyang ma-enjoy. Be a blessing. Be an inspiration," he wrote.
