MANILA – Binibining Pilipinas International 2017 Mariel de Leon took to social media to announce that she is “officially” in a relationship.

On Monday, the daughter of actors Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong posted a photo of cupcakes bearing the text: “Will you be my girlfriend, my queen?”

It had the caption: “8-21-17. FINALLY! After a year of dating! It’s official!”

Tagged in the post is a man named Eric Luz who, according to the entertainment website Push, is an Information Systems graduate of De La Salle-College of St. Benilde.

De Leon hopes to get a back-to-back win for the Philippines in the Miss International 2017 pageant in Japan this November.

She has been preparing for her first big-screen project as Coco Martin’s leading lady in “Ang Panday,” an entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
