The pair competed with 42 other entrants, mostly from Europe and the United States.

Enopia and Vargaz set the Gymnase Japy dance floor on fire, earning them a gold medal in the world show dance competition, and the silver medal in the dancesport men's division.

Enopia hopes their win will prove to the skeptics the capabilities of the LGBTQI+ community.

"We know the LGBT is still discriminated in the Philippines. Hopefully now, they can see that the LGBT community around the world can compete even in the Olympics," Enopia said.
