MANILA – It was a “beer-tastic” weekend at the second run of the MNL Craft Beer Festival, the biggest gathering of local craft breweries in the country, at Greenfield District in Mandaluyong last June 23 and 24.

Organized by the Craft Beer Association of the Philippines (CBAP) and Greenfield Development Corp., the event featured over 250 craft beers from 44 local breweries.

Beershare PH, a collective of local beer bloggers and brewers, held sessions on a variety of topics like Craft Beer 101, proper glassware, beer styles and food pairing, and how to market your own brewery.

The two-day event also featured the latest food trends as well as shopping choices and live performances from various artists as it coincided with the Weekend Market and Sunset Fair at Greenfield District.

Atty. Duane Santos, executive vice president and general manager of Greenfield Development Corp., said the event was a great send-off for a fruitful first half of the year.

“The Philippine craft beer culture has truly blossomed from the homegrown brews created by breweries around our country. Through this event, we brought them all together to be enjoyed by enthusiasts who want to try something new here at Greenfield District,” Santos said.

Missed the event? The MNL Craft Beer Festival will be having another run at Greenfield toward the end of the year.
