LOOK: What's on the menu for Isabelle Duterte's debut

MANILA – Guests enjoyed a five-course meal at The Peninsula Manila during the 18th birthday celebration of Isabelle Duterte, the granddaughter of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Consistent with the party’s lavish feel, the meal started with Seared Jumbo Lump Crab Cake served with green papaya kimchi and ponzu peppadew aioli; followed by Wild Mushroom Bisque with truffle essence, crouton, and chive oil.
Isabelle opted to have two entrees for her debut, the first being Angel Hair Aglio Olio with confit garlic butter, chervil, grilled prawns, asparagus, and cherry tomatoes; and Twelve-hour Braised US Boneless Beef Short Rib with potato gratin, French beans, carrot, and truffle jus.
For dessert, guests were served Classic Napoleon with French berries, whipped cream, and Baguio strawberry ice cream.

Isabelle also had a towering birthday cake with pink flowers, with bottles of prosecco also given to some guests during the festivities.
