MANILA -- The coronation night of the 65th Miss Universe pageant is almost here, and there's a lot of pressure riding on our own Maxine Medina to win the country's first back-to-back titles.

And while the spotlight it still firmly on Medina and her attempt to succeed fellow Filipina Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2015, some fans just could not stop themselves from thinking about who could be our possible bet to future editions of the competition.

Catching their attention is Atasha, the daughter of Charlene Gonzales, our candidate to the 1994 Miss Universe pageant -- the last time the country played host -- with actor Aga Muhlach.

Gonzales recently posted a photo of Atasha on her Instagram account, and her followers were immediately smitten with the tanned, teen beauty. Some gushed that she could potentially be a future Miss Universe Philippines title-holder.

Should she decide to follow Medina and Wurtzbach's path, Atasha will have plenty of talent to showcase. She was cast back in 2011 as part of the local staging of the musical "The Sound of Music," and is known to be fond of doing her own artworks.

Atasha, 15, has a twin brother named Andres.
