MANILA -- Local clothing giant Bench has opened its first cafe and restaurant that stays consistent to its "Love Local" credo.

The food hub serves "glamorized turo-turo" food in "Pinoy-style bentos."

"Bench-to basically is your glamorized turo-turo where you have your rice, 2 ulams (viands), sawsawan (dipping sauce), and soup. It’s a complete set meal basically," Eric Dee, chief operating officer of Foodie Global Concepts, told ABS-CBN News.

Among the viand choices are kare-kare, sisig, lechon kawali, tortang talong, and chicken inasal. Most meals are priced between P250 and P400.

The Bench Cafe also serves hot drinks, cocktails, and cakes -- all with a Pinoy twist.

"Everything’s done local. Our drinks, our coffee beans, chocolates are sourced locally because of the branding that they 'love local,'" Dee said.

"We will also have a halo-halo bar and an all-day merienda that incorporates silogs and ensaymada panini," he added.

So far, the Bench Cafe only has one branch inside its flagship store along Bonifacio High Street.

Here's a look at some of the restaurant's entrees and desserts.
