Marvel legend Stan Lee coming to Manila for Comic-Con Asia 2018

Stan Lee, the legendary comic book writer known for creating the X-Men, Spider-Man and many more iconic superheroes, will come to Manila for the first time, Comic-Con Asia 2018 announced in a press conference held Wednesday night.

The 95-year-old Marvel Comics great is headlining the inaugural Comic-Con Asia, which will also see appearances from NBA star Ray Allen and Walter Jones, the original Black Ranger from the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers."

The full guest lineup, announced Wednesday, include:

  • Vampy Bit Me
  • Nana Kuronoma
  • Anna Redei
  • Jay Tablante (photographer)

Local talents:

  • Yael Yuzon
  • Harvey M. Tolibao (comic book artist)
  • Carlo Pagulayan (comic book artist)
  • Ian Sta. Maria (comic book artist)
  • Armand Serrano (Walt Disney Animation Studios)

The event is also expected to feature competitions, talks with industry professionals, workshops from experts and panel discussions.

Comic-Con Asia 2018 will run for two days on March 24 and 25 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. It remains unclear which day of the convention Lee and the other guests will be in attendance.

Tickets (P800 for one-day passes and P1,300 for two-day passes) will be available starting January 25th here.
