MANILA – Fans of Michele Gumabao got excited after it was reported over the weekend that the volleyball player is among this year’s applicants of Binibining Pilipinas, which sends representatives to Miss Universe and other major international pageants.

She has yet to confirm the reports, but Gumabao has been spotted with other beauty queen hopefuls at the Bb. Pilipinas office in Quezon City.

Is she the Philippines’ next Miss Universe after Pia Wurtzbach, Margie Moran, and Gloria Diaz?
