MANILA - Nearly half of the wealthier and more educated segment of the voting public voted for Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, according to an exit poll conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) after polling precincts closed on Monday.

The SWS exit poll has a sample size of 62,485 voters from 802 sampled voting centers.

According to the SWS exit poll, 45.9% of those coming from ABC socioeconomic class said they voted for Duterte while 18.9% said they voted for Mar Roxas.

Meanwhile, 49.2% of voters who have college degrees said they voted for Duterte.
