DAVAO - Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and his running mate, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, have found another supporter in Pastor Apollo Quiboloy of the Davao-based Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) church.

Sporting a wristband in the duo's red and blue campaign colors, Quiboloy endorsed Duterte and Cayetano during a thanksgiving service of the church on Sunday.

Duterte said Quiboloy's endorsement will be a big boost to their campaign especially since they still need to gain the confidence of more voters from Luzon.

The PDP-Laban presidential candidate also celebrated his 71st birthday on Monday.

Asked if he sees himself turning 72 in Malacañang, Duterte merely said: "Kung maawa ang Diyos."

Duterte recently improved his popularity figures, as shown by the latest ABS-CBN survey conducted by Pulse Asia.

In the March 8-13 poll, Poe took the solo lead with 26% of the respondents choosing her as their top presidential bet. Duterte ranked second with a close 24%.
