MANILA – Alma Moreno has no ill feelings towards Karen Davila despite being the subject of social media bashing after she appeared on the news anchor’s ANC show back in November.

Moreno's interview on ANC's "Headstart" last November 11 became a hot topic on social media, with some netizens calling it "awkward" and "painful to watch."

Talking to entertainment editor Ricky Lo for his Philippine Star column on Tuesday, Moreno said she is actually grateful to Davila.

“In fact, I thanked Karen for challenging me to improve myself. Inspirasyon ko sina Batangas Gov. Vilma ‘Ate Vi’ Santos at Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno na minaliit din noong una silang sumabak sa pulitika,” she said.

“Bilib ako sa kanila. As far as I know, Ate Vi took up a course in Public Administration sa UP at si Isko ay nag-aral pa sa Harvard,” Moreno added.

Moreno is currently running for senator under the ticket of Vice President Jejomar Binay.

In the same interview, Moreno said she is hoping her survey ratings would still improve as election day nears.

The actress-turned-politician believes her nine-year experience as Parañaque City councilor and head of the Philippine Councilors League qualifies her for a Senate seat and will give her the edge in the upcoming polls.
