MANILA – Thousands of fans trooped to the Araneta Coliseum on Saturday to watch the “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano: Isang Pamilya Tayo” anniversary concert.

The concert was headlined by “Ang Probinsyano” lead star Coco Martin, who celebrated his birthday on the same night.

During the concert, Martin gave a heartfelt tribute to Fernando Poe Jr. by singing his own rendition of the OPM classic “Doon Lang.”

Singers Ogie Alcasid, Kyla, Ayen Munji-Laurel and Vina Morales, meanwhile, took the crowd on a trip down memory lane as they sang the theme songs of Martin’s previous ABS-CBN teleseryes.

Gary Valenciano also graced the concert as he sang “Huwag Ka Nang Umiyak,” the official theme song of “Ang Probinsyano.”

The Araneta stage was also fired up by the sexy dance numbers of Maja Salvador, Yassi Pressman and Bela Padilla.

Love was also in the air as the concert featured performances from Kapamilya love teams James Reid and Nadine Lustre, Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador, and McCoy De Leon and Elisse Joson.

Angel Locsin, Zanjoe Marudo and Sam Milby were also there to promote their upcoming Star Cinema movie “The Third Party.”

The event also showcased a stand-up comedy act from Vice Ganda and child star McNeal “Awra” Briguela.
