MANILA, Philippines -- Regal Entertainment Inc. has been spooking moviegoers during the holiday season with its long-running "Shake, Rattle and Roll" franchise.

The horror tradition continues for Regal this year but this time, the film company has come up with a new movie that seems just as scary based from its trailer.

"Haunted Forest," an entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival, deals with a dark creature called "sitsit." The all-star cast includes Raymart Santiago, Jameson Blake, Jane Oineza, Jon Lucas, Maris Racal and Joey Marquez.

The film is directed by Ian Loreños, whose past movies include the Jericho Rosales-starrer "Alagwa" and "Mano po 7: Chinoy."

"Haunted Forest" will hit cinemas nationwide on Christmas Day, December 25.
