MANILA – Coldplay’s Chris Martin is inviting Filipino fans to watch the British band's first ever concert in Manila next year.

In a video uploaded on Instagram, Martin said Coldplay is looking forward to bringing their “A Head Full of Dreams” tour to the Philippines next year at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.

“This is Chris of Coldplay just saying hello and how excited we are as a band to be coming to the Mall of Asia concert grounds in Manila on April 4. I hope to see you there and I hope you’re well,” he said.

Concert promoter MMI Live said on Twitter that tickets will go on sale November 24.

"A Head Full of Dreams" is the band's seventh studio album and spawned the hit "A Sky Full of Stars." Formed in 1996, the band's catalog also includes "The Scientist," "Yellow," and "Fix You."

The band has garnered more than 62 awards, including seven Grammys, and more than 200 nominations.
