MANILA – Hero Angeles did not think twice when he was offered a role in the upcoming ABS-CBN series "Love Will Lead You Back."

The new show, to be produced by the same drama unit that is behind "Wildflower," will be top-billed by Jericho Rosales and Sam Milby.

"Tinanggap ko agad. Kumbaga ngayon lang ulit ako magkaka-show sa ABS-CBN tapos soap opera siya. So sabi ko tatanggapin ko kahit anong role pa iyan, kahit hindi ko pa nabasa 'yung script," he said.

Just recently, Angeles made a Kapamilya comeback when he appeared in an episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya." Prior to that, Angeles’ last project with ABS-CBN was "Nathaniel" in 2015.

While there is no release date yet for the series, Angeles said: "Excited talaga ako noong sinabi sa akin 'yun."

Also part of "Love Will Lead You Back" are Lotlot de Leon, Christian Bables, Yen Santos, Yam Concepcion, Dionne Monsanto, Romnick Sarmenta, Cris Villanueva, Allan Paule, and Amy Austria.

According to Angeles, he also has regrets when he temporarily left showbiz years ago.

"Meron din naman. Sabi ko, 'Ano kayang nangyari? Bakit nangyari ang mga bagay na yun?' Later on ko na lang na-realize na kaya nangyari 'yung mga nangyari is para mas pahalagahan mo 'yung trabaho mo, 'yung mga taong sumuporta sayo simula pa lang," he said.

Angeles rose to fame in 2004 after he won the ABS-CBN reality talent show "Star Circle Quest."
