MANILA -- After a four-year absence, veteran actress Helen Gamboa returns to primetime TV in ABS-CBN's upcoming soap "Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin," which also marks the onscreen reunion of exes Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.

Gamboa, who was last seen in the 2012 series "Walang Hanggang," took a break from acting after she suffered a stroke in 2014.

"Alam naman nila dito na palagi akong excited kapag dito sa Channel 2. I know they only make magagandang teleserye," Gamboa said.

"Kaya nung sinabi sa akin nila Deo (Endrinal) na I have something coming na ganito, of course I'm very excited to do it."

In the series, Gamboa will be playing the grandmother of Anderson.

In 2009, Gamboa was also part of the series "Tayong Dalawa," which also starred Anderson and Chiu.

Directed by Dan Villegas, "Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin" also stars Ayen Munji-Laurel, Bing Loyzaga, Coleen Garcia and Jake Cuenca.
