MANILA, Philippines - In line with the upcoming season of “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB), actress and television host Toni Gonzaga admitted that she will miss having Mariel Rodriguez around.
Rodriguez bid goodbye to the Kapamilya network last September.
Gonzaga said there will definitely be a lot of adjustments for her now that one of her long-time co-hosts is gone.
“Definitely she will be missed. For almost five years na nagkatrabaho kami, siyempre sanay ka na rin katrabaho siya kasi kabisado mo na rin. May mga pagbabago talaga, may mga changes,” she told Push.com.ph.
For the show in general, Gonzaga said it is likely for the management to make all the necessary modifications to make up for Rodriguez’s absence.
If ever the said changes include finding a replacement to fill in the vacant post, Gonzaga said she is more than happy to welcome whoever gets the position.
She stressed, “Siyempre kami, welcome sa PBB na kahit sinong maging Kapamilya namin doon because PBB is like a family to me and kung ano man ang mga changes, we’re willing to embrace everything and work together for the betterment of the show.”
The PBB house will be opened by the end of October.
According to Gonzaga, she is extremely excited because this is so far the biggest and grandest season of PBB.
“By the end of the month, bubuksan na yung pinakamalaking season ng PBB. This is going to be the grandest season ever, kasi sobrang laki ng gagawin nilang pasabog. So exciting ‘yon. ‘Yon ang pinaghahandaan ko sa ngayon.”
Meanwhile, Gonzaga’s recently concluded 10th showbiz anniversary concert turned out to be a great success.
The event, dubbed “[email protected]”, was held in Araneta Coliseum last September 30 and was attended by roaring fans, as well as notable showbiz personalities.
Rodriguez and Bianca Gonzales were there to show their support.
Gonzaga’s anniversary concert will be featured in ABS-CBN Sunday’s best, to be aired on ABS-CBN Channel 2 on October 8, 10:45 p.m., after “Gandang Gabi Vice.”
