MANILA - Nicholas Hoult, perhaps best known for his role as the Beast in the "X-Men" films, has been added to the list of celebrity guests headlining the upcoming AsiaPOP Comicon (APCC), a local pop culture convention happening from August 26 to 28.

Hoult will join "Stranger Things" child star Millie Bobby Brown, who plays the enigmatic, shaven-haired Eleven in the sci-fi thriller, and Holland Rolden of "Teen Wolf" fame.

British actress Hayley Atwell was scheduled to make an appearance, but the "Agent Carter" star had to back out because of scheduling conflicts. The organizers of APCC have since expressed regret over the cancellation.

Hoult is also popular for his leading role in the romantic zombie comedy "Warm Bodies," and has featured in critically-acclaimed films such as "Mad Max: Fury Road" and "About A Boy." He was also cast as the lead of the British teen comedy drama, "Skins."

It remains unknown whether other Hollywood stars will be added to the list of celebrity guests. APCC will be held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Tickets are already available at SM Tickets.
